CamInfo

CAMInfo is an indicator database developed by the National Institute of Statistics, Ministry of Planning. Part of its mandate is to support the statistical data requirements of policy-makers and to facilitate the development of an effective and efficient National Statistical System in Cambodia.

CAMInfo supports monitoring and dissemination of key indicators related to global, regional and national goals including the Cambodia Millennium Development Goals, the National Poverty Reduction Strategy, and other monitoring frameworks such as the Education Sector Support Programme, Health Sector Strategic Plan and Cambodia Nutrition Investment Plan. It assists planners in development to analyse the situation for better planning, monitoring, evaluation and decision-making.

The data in CAMInfo is stored by various categories including Indicators, Time Periods, Geographic Areas, Subpopulations (Gender, Urban/Rural, Age Groups), Units, Sources and Data values. The tool enables users to organise and present data using tables, graphs and maps.

More information about CAMInfo and copies of the CAMInfo database version 2.1 can be obtained from the National Institute of Statistics: www.nis.gov.kh

The following Graphs/Maps are presentations with regard to the Cambodia Nutrition Investment Plan (CNIP) with data from Cambodia Demographic and Health Survey 2000. The new data from CDHS 2005 will be available soon.
