Technical Officer for Child Protection and Child Participation

Our Cambodia Office is seeking for one (01) qualified Cambodian national to fill vacant position of Technical Officer for Child Protection and Child Participation for Orphan and Vulnerable Children sub program in HIV and AIDS Program based in Phnom Penh.

Based salary: $500 plus competitive benefits

PURPOSE:
To manage and supervise Orphan and Vulnerable Children ( OVC0 technical assistance particularly coordination between projects, programs, and ADPs in child protection and child participation to ensure the quality of the OVC Program objectives, national standards/strategies and in the way, which reflects World Vision philosophy and core values.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Technical support:

  • Lead and advise on the implementation if OVC guidelines and standards in the WVC context by managing technical support and guidance on quality of OVC projects implementation and a supportive and learning environment. Improve related response, training material and monitoring of child protection and child participation activities.
  • Ensure implementation of innovation approaches, intervention advances and best practice are being followed to National and international standards strategy and guidelines. Coordinate the intervention to monitor OVC activities according to the standards and indicators of the ADPs.

2. Team Building:

  • Support staff and community capacity building through appropriate means such as workshops, on the job training , in-country or overseas training to ensure managerial and technical capacity of the projects.
  • Facilitate project staff to build good teamwork and achieve common goal.

3. Coordinating and External relations:

  • Coordinate with other relevant projects, department, community and NGOs to run project implement smoothly and improve network as well as communication.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with all community stakeholders and other relevant agencies for exchanging technical information and coordination.
  • Coordinate with national technical working groups on OVC and social protection.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong commitment to World Vision’s vision, mission and core values.
  • Bachelor degree in anyone of the following disciplines: Medicine, Psychology, community Development, Anthropology, Sociology or law.
  • Good interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills.
  • knowledge of convention of the right of the children essential
  • Knowledge of children and adolescent health issue and advantage
  • Experiences of integrated HIV/AIDS into community development and demonstrate experience in Income Generation Activities and VisionFund ( Cambodia) provision to assist family income.
