A National Seminar on Crop Forecasting will take place on 30 April in SUNWAY Hotel, Phnom Penh. It is organized by the Ministry of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries, with support from FAO. Representatives from all main institutions concerned with food security have been invited to participate. The objectives are to present the progress made in crop forecasting, after two years of support from the EC/FAO Food Security Programme, and discuss the additional support required to implement a sustainable crop forecasting system in Cambodia. Mr. René Gommes, Senior Agro-Meteorologist of FAO/Rome will participate as resource person. The EC-FAO Food Security Information for Action Programme is funded by the European Commission (EC) and implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
