National Seminars on Food Security
Due to the importance of food security and nutrition issues for the welfare of the population and the development of the country, organisations working in this sector organised a National Seminar on Food Security and Nutrition in Cambodia in 1999 to focus attention on the issue among key actors and to propose intervention strategies. A second National Seminar followed in 2003 to review progress on tackling food insecurity and malnutrition, draw attention to urgent issues needing action, and to enhance coordination and partnership among agencies.
