Website Hosting
Free Hosting Service for Cambodian FSN-Related Websites
The FSNIS offers a free website hosting service for organisations working in
the field of food security and nutrition in Cambodia. This service is
particularly useful for smaller organisations with limited resources. The FSNIS
team will be happy to provide a little assistance with design ideas and to
resolve technical issues; however, each organisation will have the primary
responsibility for developing and maintaining their own website. For further
information, see
Conditions of Service below.
If you would like to host an FSN-related website with us, please contact the
FSNIS Website Assistant to discuss it further. We will do our best to
facilitate the process.
Conditions of Service
-
The major content of the hosted website must be relevant to Food Security and
Nutrition in Cambodia.
-
The organization submitting the website for hosting must take full
responsibility for the website’s design and development, and ongoing management
and maintenance. The organization should therefore have a person responsible
for handling any technical aspects related to the website, and for collecting
and uploading content.
-
Only static websites will be accepted for hosting (i.e. HTML-based websites
which do not require interaction with a database to serve web pages).
-
The hosted website will be assigned a sub-domain of the FSNIS website: e.g.
www.foodsecurity.gov.kh/your-sitename/
-
All hosted websites will be required to include a banner on their homepage that
links back to the FSNIS homepage www.foodsecurity.gov.kh
-
High-resolution photographs (i.e. greater than 72 pixels per inch), video files
or sound files will not be accepted, as they take up too much server space.
-
No spyware, viruses, or other malicious applications may be installed on the
hosted website.
-
No indecent or illegal content may be included in the hosted website.
Organizations take full legal responsibility for all content they upload to
their hosted website.
-
The FSNIS team reserves the right not to accept websites for hosting, and will
not be liable to provide justification for such a decision.
